Hello, my name is Raphaël Jouen and I am a french game designer. I have a master in Game Design delivered by Supinfogame Rubika.

So far I worked on four released games: A Plague Tale Requiem at Asobo Studio, Century Age Of Ashes at Playwing, Lilo's Wish at Sundbox (a company I created with two other developpers) and Archer Fruit, a small game I made alone in one month.

A Plague Tale Requiem - Asobo Studio

I worked on A Plague Tale Requiem for two years, from the blockout to the polish.

  • Design, implementation and balancing of the skill system and the upgrade system.

  • Design and implementation of environmental bricks such as shootable oil and smoke pots, hideouts under which the player can hide, light sources the player can switch on and off, and traversal system.

  • I worked on the interaction system, including the placement of the characters for synchronised interactions (like gates for example)

  • Design and implementation of environmental bricks based on a physic system, such as moving platforms.

Century Age Of Ashes - Playwing

I worked on Century Age of Ashes for 8 months.

  • Design of a skill tree for the players

  • Design of new skills for the dragons

  • Design of more tactical game modes, inspired by Multiplayer Online Battle Arena genre.

Archer Fruits - Crowside Games

I made this little mobile game alone in one month with the godot engine.

Lilo's Wish - Sundbox

I worked on Lilo's Wish for two years alongside my studies. 

  • Design of the concept and the gameplay bricks

  • Balancing of the gameplay bricks and the procedural generation of the levels.
